About Millicent

Millicent is located in the south-east of South Australia, roughly equi-distant from Mount Gambier, Penola, and Beachport, giving easy access to the ocean, wineries, and the Tantanoola Limestone Caves. Millicent has everything for the tourist, including excellent shopping facilities, quality accommodation and, most importantly, friendly, welcoming people. The Admella Gallery and Living History Museum are worth a visit.  For those visiting the region, the Blue Lake, Coonawarra wine region and historic town of Penola are only a short drive away.

Pulp and paper manufacturing at Kimberly-Clarke and various primary production crops, pine and blue gum plantations make up the bulk of industry in the region. A visit to the paper mill is an interesting and informative exercise.
