Cardiac Services in South East South Australia
This project identified current services and Cardiac service gaps and made recommendations to the South East Regional Health Service (south east region of South Australia) regarding the delivery of these services in the region. In particular the report addressed gaps in service delivery with reference to:
- Primary prevention of heart disease
- Acute and specialist Cardiac Services
- Secondary prevention
- Cardiac rehabilitation
Information in this report was obtained from representatives of the key interested parties in the region with expertise in the primary, secondary and tertiary management of cardiovascular disease and included both clinicians and researchers.
The report was prepared by a collaborative including the GGT UDRH, Flinders University Rural Clinical School, the Integrated Cardiac Assessment Regional Network, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Flinders Medical Centre and local clinicians on behalf of the South East Clinical Senate.
