Christopher Kearney
Chris Kearney is a third year medical student with Deakin University. Chris grew up on a farm near Cavendish in rural Victoria before moving to Melbourne to complete a degree in Biomedical Science. He has since moved to Geelong to complete his training in medicine, a lifelong aspiration. Chris has been a member of NOMAD, the Deakin University Rural Health Club, since 2009 and attended the National Rural Leadership Development Seminar in Wollongong, Victoria in 2010, which brought together students who are passionate about regional, rural and remote health issues. He is currently based in Casterton, rural Victoria, as part of Deakin University's Integrated Model of Medical Education in Rural Settings (IMMERSe) program. Chris will complete his degree in Warrnambool, Victoria in 2012.
