Dr Mark Morgan (MA, BM Bch, FRACGP, MRCGP, DRCOG)is a Senior Research Fellow with the Department's Primary Health Care Research Evaluation and Development (PHCRED) program. He is a partner and General Practitioner in Hawkins Medical Clinic in Mount Gambier, South Australia where he provides the full range of longitudinal family care from antenatal to palliative care with a particular interest in chronic disease management. Dr Morgan is currently involved with the True Blue project which is examining models of collaborative care for depression in patients with the chronic diseases diabetes and heart disease. He is also active in an advisory and mentoring role for Department staff and PHCRED bursary holders. His research interests include quality improvement in general practice and collaborative care for chronic disease management in a primary care setting. Dr Morgan is also a clinical tutor and Faculty member with the Flinders University Rural Clinical School; a Project Advisor for the Limestone Coast Division of General Practice's "Better Use of Medicines" project, and clinical advisor to the Mount Gambier Chronic Wound Care Team. He is a current board member of the South East Drug and Alcohol Counselling Service.
